The Appeals Chamber of the Criminal Courts Mechanism in The Hague (the heir to the Hague Tribunal) delivered the final sentence to the first President of the Republika Srpska Radovan Karadzic - life imprisonment.
The Appeals Chamber rejected all the complaints of the defense, rejected the complaint of the prosecutor's office on the erroneousness of Karadzic’s acquittal on the genocide charges in seven communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the same time, the Appeals Chamber considered that the sentence of 40 years of imprisonment does not correspond to the gravity of the crimes of Radovan Karadzic, this sentence is “unreasonable and unfair.”
In March 2016, the court session of the Hague Tribunal sentenced Karadzic to 40 years in prison for the Srebrenica genocide and crimes against humanity in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995.
In the original verdict, Karadzic was acquitted of one of the charges - the genocide against the non-Serb population in the communities of Bratunac, Prijedor, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Sanski Most, Focha and Kluchny. However, it was found that war crimes in these communities were coordinated by the leadership of the Republika Srpska. The judicial assembly also established that Karadzic was responsible for the crimes during the siege of Sarajevo and the taking of hostages.
The defense filed an appeal demanding the release of Karadzic or the trial anew, and the prosecution demanding life imprisonment.

From an interview with former CIA activist Robert Baer:
When Baer is asked if they are engaged in propaganda against the Serbs, he replies:
Yes and no. The purpose of the propaganda was to separate the republics so that they broke away from Yugoslavia. We had to choose a scapegoat who would be blamed for everything. Someone who will be responsible for the war and violence. Serbia was chosen because in some way it is the successor of Yugoslavia. How and when did you finish the operation and did she have a name? For me, it was over in two weeks, I got a new job in Slovenia. Otherwise, the operation lasted for several months and was called Pravda. Although it was anything but that! Can you name the politicians of the former Yugoslavia who were paid for by the CIA?
Yes, but it is delicate. Stipe Mesic, Franjo Tudjman, Aliya Izetbegovic, many advisers and members of the government in Yugoslavia were paid, and Serbian generals, journalists, etc. Radovan Karadzic was paid for some time, but he stopped taking money when he realized that he could be sacrificed and accused of crimes committed in Bosnia - which were organized by the US administration.
Srebrenica is an exaggerated story, and, unfortunately, many people are manipulated. The number of victims among the Serbs was not inferior to the number of victims among other nationalities, but Srebrenica is political marketing. My boss, who used to be a US senator, has repeatedly stressed that there will be some kind of scam in Bosnia. A month before the alleged genocide in Srebrenica, he told me that the city would be the main news all over the world, and ordered us to call the media. When I asked why, he said you would see. The new Bosnian army received orders to attack houses and civilians. These were, of course, the citizens of Srebrenica. At the same time, the Serbs attacked from the other side. Probably someone paid to incite them!
Then who is guilty of the Srebrenica genocide?
Srebrenica charges Bosnians, Serbs, Americans. But in fact, the Serbs were accused of everything. Unfortunately, many of the victims buried as Muslims were Serbs and other nationalities. A few years ago, a friend of mine, a former CIA agent and now working for the IMF, said that Srebrenica is a product of an agreement between the US government and politicians in Bosnia. According to Baer, the city of Srebrenica was sacrificed to give America a reason to attack the Serbs for their alleged crimes.
It was the "red line" of Bill Clinton.
Plus about the fake "concentration camp" in Srebrenica.
