Haiti Rebellion Against United Nations Occupation Forces Spreads to Capital

The rebellion in Haiti against the United Nations occupation forces has spread to the capital of Port-au-Prince. A cholera outbreak blamed on UN forces sparked discontent with the continuing exploitation of the masses.

Haiti cholera clashes reach capital Port-au-Prince. Demonstrators vented their anger at the UN mission 

Protests linked to the outbreak of cholera in Haiti have spread to parts of the capital, Port-au-Prince.Police fired tear gas as demonstrators set up barricades and threw rocks at United Nations vehicles. On Monday, clashes between residents and UN troops in the north had left two people dead.Some Haitians blame UN peacekeepers from Nepal for bringing cholera to the country - a claim denied by the UN.US health experts say Haiti is vulnerable to further outbreaks.Sporadic gunfire could be heard on Thursday as protesters took to the streets of Port-au-Prince, which was devastated by a massive earthquake in January.Hundreds of youths erected barricades of burning tyres and attacked vehicles belonging to the UN mission (Minustah).

The protesters shouted slogans like: "Cholera: It's Minustah who gave it to us!" and "Minustah go home!" Cholera is present in all 10 of Haiti's regions. About 1,100 people have died from the disease since it emerged in the country last month.    Most of the 38 deaths recorded in the capital have been in the slum district of Cite Soleil.

Το εντυπωσιακό είναι ότι, στην πρόταση που συνέταξε η εισαγγελέας εφετών Ξένια Δημητρίου - Βασιλοπούλου, για άλλους ζητείται η παραπομπή και για άλλους η μη παραπομπή, με τα ίδια ακριβώς στοιχεία.
Αντιτερρορίστες και δικαστικοί δεν απέφυγαν ακόμη μια φορά να ποινικοποιήσουν τις κοινωνικές σχέσεις και ν' αποδώσουν την απουσία ενοχοποιητικών στοιχείων στα... μέτρα προφύλαξης που υποτίθεται πως λάμβανε κάποιος από τους βασικούς ύποπτους, δημιουργώντας τις προϋποθέσεις και το περιβάλλον για αθρόες παραπομπές ακόμη και με χαμηλής ποιότητας και αξιοπιστίας «αποδείξεις».

NEW YORK, November 18 (Itar-Tass) - “Professional psychological pressure” was exerted on Viktor Bout during the flight from Thailand to the United States, Russian Consul General in New York Andrei Yushmanov said in an interview with Itar-Tass on Wednesday evening after a meeting with the Russian businessman extradited to the United States. “Obviously, there was also a professional psychologist among the agents (of the Drug Enforcement Administration) escorting him on the airplane,” the consul general said. “He was given a hint that not only he alone is under threat, but also his family - his wife and 16-year-old child.” “The interviewer at the same time was insistently leading him to a conclusion that the threat is coming from Russia, from Bout’s motherland,” Yushmanov conveyed the defendant’s words. “In particular, he was offered to tell more about his activities and all his contacts - in this case the agent paid special attention to the contacts.” “For cooperation with the US justice he had been promised not only benefits but also that all will be well with him and his family,” the Russian businessman said at a meeting with the consul.

NATO chief asks for Russian help in Afghanistan

Two decades after the Soviet Union’s  retreat from Afghanistan, NATO is working to get Russia back into the country to help fight drug trafficking and rebuild Afghan security forces. The deal, championed by NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen as part of a “new start in the relationship between NATO and Russia,” would see Moscow providing helicopters to Afghan and NATO forces, training Afghan national-security forces and pilots, and helping on the ground with counternarcotics programs and border security. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is due to attend a NATO summit in Lisbon next month and sign the cooperation deal —and, in the process, repair relations damaged by years of NATO expansion and Georgia's 2008 war with Osetia. 

That new start comes at a hefty price, though. In return for cooperation in Afghanistan, Moscow is asking for substantial concessions from NATO. A draft agreement on NATO-Russian cooperation penned by the Kremlin and released last December includes proposed restrictions on NATO deployment of any force bigger than a 3,000-strong brigade in the combined territory of all former Soviet bloc members. Russia is also demanding that NATO not attempt to station more than 24 aircraft in Eastern Europe for more than 42 days a year. Most controversially, Russia also has demanded veto power on any Western military deployments of large additional forces anywhere in Central Europe, the Balkans, or the Baltics. To top off the wish list, the Kremlin wants limits lifted on Russian troops in the breakaway enclaves of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Russia's gas giant Gazprom signed a deal with Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) on establishing a South Stream Bulgaria AD joint venture to oversee the construction of the Bulgarian section of the South Stream pipeline. The deal was signed by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Bulgarian counterpart Boiko Borisov. Borisov said Bulgaria expected the end of talks concerning gas price in the near future. "I hope to receive an answer from Prime Minister Putin concerning the conditions of the Russian gas supply in the near future since it is a very important issue for the Bulgarian economy," Borisov said at a joint press conference after the signing of the deal. Putin said Bulgaria's incomes from the Russian gas transit via the South Stream pipeline would increase to $2.5 billion euros from the current $600 million euros.

Ομαδικές εκτελέσεις αμάχων, δολοφονίες δημοσιογράφων, βασανιστήρια πολιτικών κρατουμένων και ομάδες μισθοφόρων που δρουν σαν τάγματα θανάτου για λογαριασμό του Πενταγώνου. Καμία από τις πληροφορίες που έφερε στο φως η διαρροή περίπου 400.000 απόρρητων εγγράφων του Πενταγώνου από την ηλεκτρονική σελίδα Wikileaks δεν ήταν καινούργια. Για άλλη μια φορά όμως η υπενθύμιση του τι πραγματικά συμβαίνει στο Ιράκ από τα αμερικανικά στρατεύματα κατοχής εξέθεσε ανεπανόρθωτα όχι μόνο τη δολοφονική πολιτική του Λευκού Οίκου αλλά και των διεθνών μέσων ενημέρωσης, που χωρίς καμία αμφιβολία εκτελούν διατεταγμένη υπηρεσία για λογαριασμό των ΗΠΑ και των συμμάχων τους. Παράλληλα ξεσκέπασε το ρόλο του ΟΗΕ αλλά και άλλων θεσμών του λεγόμενου διεθνούς δικαίου, οι οποίοι θα έπρεπε να έχουν ήδη κινηθεί για την επιβολή κυρώσεων στις ΗΠΑ με κατηγορίες για διάπραξη εγκλημάτων πολέμου και εγκλημάτων κατά της ανθρωπότητας. Η μόνη σχετική κίνηση του ΟΗΕ έγινε ύστερα από πρωτοβουλία του ύπατου αρμοστή για ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα Ναβί Πιλάι ο οποίος κάλεσε τις ΗΠΑ (!) να ερευνήσουν την υπόθεση. Αντίστοιχα το Διεθνές Ποινικό Δικαστήριο της Χάγης δεν φάνηκε να κινείται παρά το γεγονός ότι έχει πλέον επαρκή στοιχεία για να καλέσει σε απολογία τον Τζορτζ Μπους και τον Μπαράκ Ομπάμα – και γιατί όχι να τους «δολοφονήσει» μέσα σε κάποιο κρατητήριο, όπως έκανε και με τον Σλόμπονταν Μιλόσεβιτς. Για να μην αναφερθεί βέβαια κανένας στο αντιπολεμικό κίνημα των ΗΠΑ το οποίο αποδεικνύει ότι αποτελεί μια σκιά του ένδοξου παρελθόντος του στις δεκαετίες του ’60 και του ’70. Αξίζει να θυμηθεί κανείς το σάλο που είχε προκληθεί στις ΗΠΑ το 1971 όταν ο Ντάνιελ Έλσμπεργκ έφερε στο φως πολύ λιγότερα στοιχεία για το πραγματικό πρόσωπο του πολέμου στο Βιετνάμ. Σήμερα ακόμη και οι καταγγελίες ότι Αμερικανοί στρατιώτες έσπαγαν τα κόκαλα κρατουμένων ή ότι χρησιμοποιούσαν Ιρακινούς πολίτες για τον καθαρισμό ναρκοπεδίων δεν κατάφερε να προκαλέσει την οργή της αμερικανικής κοινωνίας.

Η κυβέρνηση του ΠΑΣΟΚ υπο την πρωθυπουργία του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου, δεν αποτελεί τίποτε άλλο παρά μια ακόμα, καθαρά αστική κυβέρνηση, όπως ακριβώς όλες οι κυβερνήσεις που πέρασαν απο την νεότερη Ελλάδα, είτες αυτές ονομάζονταν φιλελεύθερες, είτε νεοφιλελεύθερες, είτε σοσιαλδημοκρατικές, είτε χριστιανοδημοκρατικές, είτε χουντικές, είτε φασιστικές, είτε εθνικές ... είτε όπως αλλιώς και εαν την ονομάσουν στο μέλλον !

A gang suspected of body parts trafficking has been uncovered in Kosovo by Interpol. The criminal group featuring Kosovars, Jews and Turks trafficked people into Kosovo for the purpose of removing kidneys for transplant.   Victims were promised up to $20,000 (14,500 euros), while recipients were required to pay between €80,000 and €100,000 euros ($110,000-$137,000).

The victims came from Moldova, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey.

There is no possibility of agreement at the upcoming G20 summit because the U.S. is declaring financial war on other countries, believes American economist Michael Hudson. The U.S. has been pushing China to revalue its currency – at a time when Washington has been pumping billions of dollars into its economy – a move viewed by other countries as an attempt to deliberately weaken the greenback.  The issue of exchange rates is expected to be one of the toughest discussion points at the G20 summit in South Korea later this week.

Michael Hudson, a renowned economist and Wall Street financial analyst and advisor, says the meeting in Seoul will not bring an end to global currency wars. “The U.S. is going to China and saying ‘we want you to commit economic suicide just like Japan did. We want you to follow the same way: we want you to re-value your currency, we want you to squeeze your companies, we want you to go bankrupt so we can make our profit at your expense,” says Hudson.  “We want you the Chinese to allow our banks to gamble on your currency and make a huge gain on foreign exchange speculation so that our banks can get out of the problem that we have got them into. Will you please help us by going bankrupt for our benefit? Well, you can imagine what the Chinese are saying – they are laughing,” Hudson adds.

 Οι διεθνείς χρηματαγορές παίρνουν πλέον την προσοχή τους από μέτρα ποσοτικής χαλάρωσης (quantitative easing), που ανακοίνωσε την προηγούμενη Τετάρτη 3 Νοεμβρίου η Κεντρική Τράπεζα των ΗΠΑ (FED) και στρέφουν το ενδιαφέρον τους στην προσεχή σύνοδο του G20 που θα γίνει στην Κορέα 11-12 Νοεμβρίου. Οι πρόσκαιρες επιπτώσεις από την ανακοίνωση των μέτρων ποσοτικής χαλάρωσης (quantitative easing), ήταν να υποτιμηθεί σημαντικά το δολάριο έναντι του ευρώ (Πέμπτη 4 Νοεμβρίου ευρώ/δολάριο 1,4244). Στην συνέχεια όμως η ανησυχία για τα αποτελέσματα των Ελληνικών αυτοδιοικητικών εκλογών και την πιθανότητα πολιτικής αστάθειας στην Ελλάδα καθώς και τα κρατικά χρέη της Ιρλανδίας και της Πορτογαλίας, ανέκοψαν την υποτιμητική πορεία για το αμερικανικό νόμισμα το οποίο ισχυροποιήθηκε εκ νέου (Παρασκευή 5 Νοεμβρίου ευρώ/δολάριο 1,4084). Την Δευτέρα 8 Νοεμβρίου, παρ’ ότι οι ανησυχίες για πολιτική αστάθεια στην Ελλάδα είχαν... εξαλειφθεί, το ευρώ συνέχισε να υποτιμάται έναντι του δολαρίου (Δευτέρα 8 Νοεμβρίου ευρώ/δολάριο 1,3917).

Brandishing imperialist "Rising Sun" flags, the demonstrators gathered at an open air concert hall in the centre of the capital, a chorus of Japan's national anthem serving as an opening ceremony. It was the latest in a series of demonstrations against Beijing's claim to a disputed island chain in the East China Sea, known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. There have also been several anti-Japan rallies in China.

"We have to take action against anyone who is trying to grab our territory," she said at the open air venue, where organisers repeatedly showed footage of the collision on a TV.

Participants then marched through the capital's business and shopping districts near the Imperial Palace, but there were no immediate reports of arrests or any major confusion, police said. The video was leaked on YouTube on Friday. It had not been officially released to the public for fear it would worsen the spat. Japanese authorities have confirmed that the leaked video footage is identical to what the Japan Coast Guard recorded during the incident, the evening edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Saturday.

SANAA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Yemeni Prime Minister Ali Muhammed al- Mujawar said Saturday that al-Qaida was originally a Western-made group and was never created by his country, the state-run Saba news agency reported. The prime minister's remarks were made during a meeting in the capital Sanaa with ambassadors of Asian and African countries to Yemen to clarify Yemen's stance against those who propagated negative impacts on Yemen over the bomb parcels shipped to the United States last week.

"Al-Qaida was essentially a Western-made group and was never created by Yemen, it is alleged by those who seek to propagate this view internationally about Yemen," Saba quoted Mujawar as saying.

The British government nervously reacts to a Press TV report in which its support to certain anti-Iran terrorist groups is documented.

The Press TV report had it that Iran's Intelligence Ministry has arrested four UK-linked terrorists in the western city of Marivan. The ministry said the captured terrorists have confessed to assassinating five Iranians in the past two years and that they were supposed to receive $20,000 for each terrorist operation inside Iran but they were only paid $8000 in all. The terrorists also conceded that they have received orders and weapons from their chief in the Iraqi city of Soleimaniyeh, according to the ministry. 

The terrorist chieftain is named Jalil Fattahi, who is currently residing in Britain. Fattahi is also one of the commanders of the Komole terrorist group, which has carried out several assassinations in western Iranian cities since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Kurdestan Komole Party was created in 1979 the same year that the Iranian nation managed to defeat corrupt monarchy of Mohamed Reza Pahlavi and establish the Islamic Republic of Iran. After the Islamic Revolution, the party took arm against the Islamic Republic system and its members resorted to terror attacks thanks to financial support they received from the then Iraqi regime under the Ba'ath Party.

Στις 22 Οκτωβρίου 2010, δύο στρατιωτικοί του ισραηλινού στρατού επισκέφτηκαν το πανεπιστήμιο του Michigan, στα πλαίσια μιας μεγάλης επικοινωνιακής καμπάνιας με τον τίτλο "Stand With Us" ("σταθείτε μαζί μας"). Η καμπάνια αυτή οργανώθηκε με στόχο να αμβλύνει τις εντυπώσεις από τα εγκλήματα πολέμου του καθεστώτος του Ισραήλ και να ρίξει γέφυρες επικοινωνίας με τις πανεπιστημιακές κοινότητες στις Η.Π.Α. Ως καίρια απάντηση, φοιτητές, εργαζόμενοι και καθηγητές αποχώρησαν μαζικά και επιδεικτικά από την εκδήλωση, ως ένδειξη αλληλεγγύης και τιμής στα θύματα του Ισραηλινού στρατού, στα τόσα και τόσα παιδιά που δολοφονούνται στην Παλαιστίνη.

Λαγός του Γιωργάκη χαρακτηρίστηκε ο Πάγκαλος μετά τις δηλώσεις για την αναδιάρθρωση του χρέους.Αυτοί που έδωσαν αυτόν τον χαρακτηρισμό είναι σίγουρα προβοκάτορες ή ανίκανοι προπαγανδιστές. Λαγός ο Πάγκαλος;

Βέβαια μετά τον σάλο έτρεξαν οι κυβερνητικοί να το μαζέψουν. Άλλα είπε, άλλα εννοούσε, τον παρεξηγήσατε κλπ.Τώρα αν ολόκληρος αντιπρόεδρος δεν μπορεί να πει αυτό που εννοεί να το δει το θέμα η κυβέρνηση. Μετά τους παραπλανηθέντες και ηλίθιους υπουργούς της ΝΔ αποκτήσαμε και τον ανίκανο να εκφράσει σωστά την άποψη του αντιπρόεδρο. Η ουσία είναι ότι όπως λέει και ο Ρουμπίνι, αργά ή γρήγορα θα κηρύξουμε πτώχευση. Τώρα ελεγχόμενη θα είναι, ανεξέλεγκτη θα είναι δεν ξέρω.
